🃏 Blackjack course
Six sections from Reality Check through the Illustrious 18. Every basic-strategy answer is hand-verified against a chart test at build time, so the drills grade on the same table the content teaches.
🎯 Two new drill exercise types
- BasicStrategyDrill — dealer shows an upcard, random player hand, pick H/S/D/Sp/Su. Hit 15 or 20 correct in a row to clear. Four modes: hard totals, soft totals, pairs, or all.
- CountingDrill — Hi-Lo running count at 1-3 s / card on a 6-deck shoe. Enter your count at the end. Exact match or fail.
🧑💼 Skye, the dealer
Green-felt chip, all four suits inlaid. Calm, professional, non-sexualized. Greets you at course start, hangs out on the Blackjack path. Lottie animation states arrive in a follow-up.
🔓 Course unlock gating
Blackjack unlocks when you're 50% through Probability 101 or earn 500 total XP — whichever first. A one-time banner on the Learn tab announces it and takes you straight to the new course.
Under the hood
- Chart-backed QA.
src/engine/basicStrategy.test.tsasserts every cell in the 6-deck H17+DAS+LS chart. Content can't drift from the grader. - Runtime-generated hands. The drills pull fresh hands from a seeded RNG on every attempt; no two players' drills are identical.
- Quick Lesson safeguard. The ⌘⇧P panel never surfaces drill exercises — they need more than 60 seconds to finish.
